Headlines and Firm Announcements
- On December 2, 2025, Brannon Buck moderated a panel discussion at the Birmingham Bar Association’s “Last Chance Day of CLE” with the Honorable Madeline Haikala of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama and Chief Judge Elisabeth French of the Circuit Court for Jefferson County, Alabama. The panel discussed the importance of professionalism and civility in the practice of law.
- Callen Thistle joined the firm in November 2025. Callen served as a law clerk to the Honorable Staci G. Cornelius in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama for nearly a decade. Before that, she spent time in private practice. Callen has degrees from Princeton University and Emory University School of Law. She joined Badham & Buck’s commercial litigation practice, where she will focus on brief writing in complex cases and appeals.
- Badham & Buck is proud to have Brannon Buck and Brett Ialacci recognized as Best Lawyers in America in the 2026 Edition of Best Lawyers. Chris Driver and Grant Reese have been recognized as Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in the 2026 Edition of Best Lawyers.
- Brannon Buck and Sam David Knight have each been named one of the Top 50 attorneys in Alabama by Super Lawyers in the Mid-South edition for 2025.
- Brannon Buck has been appointed to serve on the Board of Trustees for the Alabama Law Foundation. The Alabama Law Foundation helps ensure access to civil justice for low-income individuals through grants funded principally by interest on lawyers’ trust accounts (IOLTA).
- Badham & Buck obtained an seven-figure settlement in a personal injury action against a fast food chain for food poisoning.
- In October 2024, Sam David Knight and Christopher Driver secured a $10,000,000 jury verdict in Cullman County on behalf of their client, Teresa Daniel. Ms. Daniel sued the defendants for fraudulently inducing her to sell her business to their company.
- Badham & Buck obtained an eight-figure settlement in a shareholder derivative action.
- Brannon Buck served the Alabama State Bar as its 148th President in 2023 and 2024. Read Brannon’s President’s Page columns published in The Alabama Lawyer here.
- Grant Reese joined the firm in July 2023. Prior to joining Badham & Buck, Grant was an associate attorney at the law firm of Carr Allison. His practice focuses on real estate, construction, banking and commercial litigation. Grant has degrees from Auburn University and the University of Alabama School of Law.
- The Alabama Supreme Court has appointed Brannon Buck to serve on the Alabama Access to Justice Commission.
